Location - Folio - Opulence

These are the other four photographs for my location folio. These ones are to contrast with the begger photos I took in Europe. These four photographs represent wealth and prosperity, while billions of dollars goes into industries such as fashion, and the church every year, about half of the world lives in poverty. With my photos, I want to raise the issue about poverty, and how many people are spending excessive amounts of money on things we don't need, when it could be going towards a better cause.

The first one is taken inside St Peters. The Vatican alone is said to have wealth between $10 to $15 billion, and although they do put some money towards people in need, it should be contributing much more.

The second image is of underwear models in Milan. Milan is said to be the fashion capital of the world. In my opinion spending thousands of dollars on one article of clothing is extremely selfish, considering some people dont have enough clothes to keep them warm.

The third image is of a beach in Cinque Terre, Italy. Unlike the beaches in Australia, this beach costs about $50 just to enter (hence me taking the photograph from a ledge above).

The final image is of a gondolier in his gondola. Gondolas are a major tourist attraction, but are surprisingly expensive. It can cost over $100 just for a short ride.
